What to Put on Your Home Page (And What to Absolutely Leave Out)

Think of your home page like your shop window. If it’s messy, unclear, or packed full of things no one asked for, customers are going to keep walking.

Start with a strong headline. Let people know exactly what your business is, who it’s for, and why they should care. Keep it short and punchy. Your customers don’t have time for waffling.

Next, show off your best bits. Highlight your most popular products or services. Add a few glowing reviews from real customers. Include a call to action that invites people to shop, book, or get in touch.

And please, make it mobile-friendly. Most people are viewing your site on their phone while walking the dog or watching TV. If your buttons are tiny or your images take a decade to load, you’re losing sales.

What should you leave out? Overly long paragraphs, cringey stock photos, and anything that doesn’t serve a clear purpose. Clarity is queen.

If your home page isn’t converting, I’ll help you turn it into something clean, effective, and full of personality. The kind of page people actually want to scroll.
